All Souls Procession November 9, 2008

Mark your calendars! The 19th Annual All Souls Procession Weekend is on Sunday, November 9, 2008. We have additional plans for the previous weekend, which falls on Dia de los Muertos proper. Our primary reason for moving the Procession a week later was due to concerns about ASP ceremonies conflicting with the Halloween weekend. Although Dia de los Muertos has greatly influenced the Procession and its aesthetic, the ASP Weekend is NOT Dia de los Muertos; it is a festival inclusive of Mexico's Day of the Dead, but is also represented by cultures from the rest of the world.
FILM FEST NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS
The 6th Annual All Souls International Film Festival is looking for shorts exploring DEATH through cinema. This regards themes of Ancestry, Global Rituals and Festivals relating to Death, Grief, Loss, and Rebirth. Submissions cannot exceed 15 minutes. Only DVDs accepted.
