THE ALL SOULS/DAY OF THE DEAD
FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY
EXHIBITION COMPETITION

This photo exhibition is only for images related to the universal phenomena of Death; the relationship between the living and the dead. This includes any culture, group, or individual’s depiction of any aspect of death, as well as universal festivals of Death such as the All Souls Procession and the Day of the Dead, Dia de los Muertos, celebrations. No others will be accepted.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 10th, 2007

Submission fee is $25 for up to four images.

Contestants may submit up to 4 images labeled with their JURY NAME.  This is the name that you attach to the images that our juror, Terry Etherton, will see. The JURY NAME includes the artist’s initials (First, Middle, Last), plus the last 4 digits of their phone number, and the letters a, b, c, or d (to differentiate your four images).  NO CAPS, NO SPACES.

For Example: John Q Doe, with phone number 555-5427 submits 4 images. His JURY NAME would be labeled on each of his four images as such:

Images can be no larger than:
1)      1300 pixels width or length @ 72 dpi
OR
2)      4 inches length or width x 300 dpi

All files must be JPEG, and if possible, compress files at Quality 10. 

No other files will be converted or accepted.  After the competition, all files will be destroyed except for the winning images. 

All rights will be retained by the artist.  Many Mouths One Stomach, organizers of the All Souls Procession Weekend, retains publicity rights from the winning images for All Souls Procession Weekend and Many Mouths One Stomach purposes only. 

Notification of selected images will be by email and / or phone.  Confirmation is the responsibility of the artist.  NO CALLS ACCEPTED.  It is the responsibility of the artist to mat and frame their selected image(s) for the Exhibition, and have their work to us absolutely no later than Monday, October 29th, 2007

MMOS will take all normal precautions to safe guard the images while in our possession, however  MMOS will not be held responsible for any damages what so ever, nor theft of the images.

The Grand Prize winning image will appear on next year’s Photo Exhibition Competition Poster.

AWARDS
There are 3 cash awards (First Place Award: $100, Second Place Award: $50, Third Place Award: $25), plus 3 Honorable Mentions. All Award Winners and Honorable Mention Winners receive a Certificate of Recognition.

The 3 Award Winners and the 3 Honorable Mentions agree to donate a print of their winning image to Many Mouths One Stomach (MMOS) of the same size and quality of their winning image submitted for showing. MMOS will give them a Receipt of Donation.

b) Use Paypal to pay your $25 submission fee
