The film traces a passage from loss to celebration—a course etched by artistic expression and the flowering of a cultural tradition. While exploring this history, the film propels us through a hectic two months of preparations for the 2012 All Souls Procession. Some 90,000 participants attend the 2012 Procession, many conveying their sorrow, many voicing their joy, as they gather at sunset in the streets of downtown Tucson to honor The Dead and celebrate The Living.
