We are pleased to announce The 35th Annual All Souls Procession on Nov. 3, 2024 on Tucson’s Westside. Assembling on Grande Avenue at 4pm-departing at 6 pm. Culminating in the “Restoration of Care” ceremony and burning of the URN near MSA Annex in The Mercado District.
Let the celebration begin.
MMOS spends a year or more planning, fundraising and implementing each of the Procession Weekends. It is a labor of love built on the backs of artists, creatives and people of all kinds… without financial motivation or corporate sponsorship. The All Souls Procession is pure, public ceremony for everyone.
The trust we have built over 35 years gives us hope in our shared creativity, imagination and vision for the future.
Here are our Guidelines for 2024-
Respect Everyone’s physical space
(Don’t get too close — If a section starts to look dense, look for open space. Be patient. There is no prize for being first.)
“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.” — Bruce Lee
The route is on the West side, paralleling the Santa Cruz River. It begins on Grande Avenue south of Speedway Boulevard., and marches directly south on Grande Ave to Congress St. Then left to the Mercado District.
*Please DO NOT Block the entrance to the Finale site on Congress and Avenida Del Convento.
There are many places to watch the Procession go by- The long thoroughfare of Grande Ave provides many vantage points to view.
2024 is an Election Year
Please remember– that this is a funeral – NOT a political event.

Other ways to take part…
Over the years, we invited each other onto the streets. We made a lot of hubbub and noise. We helped fix each other’s floats. We looked bravely into each other’s faces. We walked with our tears flowing. We built beautiful things and played beautiful songs for the DEAD and for the LIVING.
Don’t give up now.
The world needs us and we need each other. We are here to Honor and Celebrate. Celebrate those who have died. Honor those who have gone before us.
