We are pleased to announce that we will be proceeding with The All Souls Procession on Nov. 7, 2021 including the Processional along Tucson’s Westside. assembling on Grande Avenue at 6pm. Culminating in the “Restoration of Care” ceremony and burning of the URN near MSA Annex.
Let the celebration begin.
MMOS has spent many months weighing the dangers posed by encouraging large numbers of people to gather vs. the healing that comes from immersive community.
We have had heartfelt conversations with our partners at the County, NGO’s Directors, supporters and friends.
If you can be vaccinated before attending the Procession…
We strongly recommend that you do.
(Lollapalooza issued a vaxxed-only policy at its 2021 outdoor concert and reported zero cases two weeks later.)
Masks are highly encouraged.
Our Ushers will be on hand with extra masks if you forget or lose yours.
(You were going to make some crazy mask anyway, weren’t you? Be creative. Have fun with it!)
Respect Everyone’s physical space
(Don’t get too close — If a section starts to look dense, look for open space. Be patient.)
“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.” — Bruce Lee
The route is on the West side, paralleling the Santa Cruz River. It begins on Grande Avenue south of Speedway Boulevard., left on St. Mary’s Road, then right onto Bonita Avenue. It flows around the Garden of Gethsemane toward the Finale Site, situated between the river and the Mercado San Agustin. Pedestrians will be able to continue on the Riverwalk south of Congress Street and take the stairs at Cushing Street up to the Finale site. (Floats and others who do not want to tackle stairs will want to turn right at Congress Street to access the Finale site.)
As you walk, Be generous and gracious to our neighbors, who have invited us into their gardens and neighborhoods.
All Souls is dedicated to radical inclusivity.
All Souls are welcome.
Use Your Skills
We all had to learn some things in these difficult times. There is no “going back.” Now is the time to Expect the Best of each other.
See others in their grief. Allow Grief to Happen. Let others be in their grief. Trust your Process.
Be generous and gracious to our neighbors
The neighborhoods of Barrio Hollywood, Menlo, Sin Nombre and Mercado welcome us each year. Don’t block their driveways. Don’t stomp on their flower gardens. Don’t litter our streets. Route MAP

Other ways to take part…
Over the years, we invited each other onto the streets. We made a lot of hubbub and noise. We helped fix each other’s floats. We looked bravely into each other’s faces. We walked with our tears flowing. We built beautiful things and played beautiful songs for the DEAD and for the LIVING.
Don’t give up now.
The world needs us and we need each other. We are here to Honor and Celebrate. Celebrate those who have died. Honor those who have gone before us.
