Mark your calendars! Big event coming up!
Amy Ijams and Kathleen Dreier, members of the All Souls Procession Media Circle are hosting a Silent Auction at the Steinfeld Warehouse Community Arts Center to benefit Many Mouths One Stomach, the Tucson-based non-profit collective of artists, teachers and community activists who bring you the All Souls Procession Weekend every year. 100% of the proceeds go to MMOS to support the enormous costs to produced the All Souls Procession.
Here is the tentative/evolving timeline and details as we have them right now:
Thursday, Oct 18 and Friday Oct 19th: Artists drop off their work at the Warehouse
Saturday, Oct 20th Silent Auction
Viewing and Bidding: approximately 5pm-9pm
Pay for and bring home your winning art: 9pm-10pm
Sunday, Oct 21 Final pieces picked up 9am-11am
Open to all art mediums: photography, gift certificates, sculpture, jewelry, painting.
NOTE: All Souls themed art encouraged but not required.
Artists will be donating their work and receive a form for tax deduction record purposes.
Artists will also let Amy and Kathleen know the value of the piece(es) they are donating and recommended starting bids. Feel free to message or post here your information and what you will commit to donate!
This is a massive undertaking so we welcome all sorts of help (please let us know your interest):
1. Musicians to provide entertainment throughout the night (3 or 4 groups would be awesome!).
2. Volunteers to help with different tasks including monitoring the bidding, collecting money at the end of the night, managing a snack and beverage table, registering and distributing bidder numbers to the guests, set up/take down, etc.
3. Donating finger foods, snacks, beverages (both alcohol and non-alcohol), cash donations to help Amy and Kathleen cover expenses.
