Learn the dance and chant Odaiko Sonora will be performing for the All Souls Procession this year, then walk with Odaiko Sonora in the All Souls Procession on Nov. 6. Obon dance or bon odori are traditionally part of the Japanese ancestor festival of obon. The dances are easy to learn and the more people, the more fun.
This year’s chant is an old Ainu chant about a deer running through the forest and the hunter following it.
