Little Angels is a family-friendly event acknowledging and celebrating deceased loved ones from the perspective of a child. Children participate in art activities such as angel wing decoration, DIY face painting, circus arts and theater.
Children and families are invited to enact their own sunset Procession and join Stories that Soar! for dramatic performances of stories about death and grief collected from Tucson school children and told in their own words.
Family Altars and The Urn are also part of the event. You are welcome to place prayers in the URN or create a pop-up Altar on the Sunset Procession path.
Tucson End-of-Life Doulas Mandala Project w/ Stories that Soar
Tucson End-of-Life Doulas is excited to be collaborating with the All Souls Procession and Stories that Soar for the Procession of Little Angels 2024 where children of all ages are invited to express themselves through art, creating mandalas with markers and stickers to either keep or leave to be displayed at the Tucson End-of-Life Doulas installation the following night at the All Souls Procession.
The Stories that Soar! Magic Box, Curiosity Box, and Baby Box will be available for stories, questions, and facts the children may have.
The Project is an invitation for children to have the freedom to explore their thoughts and feelings, or to just have fun coloring and hanging out with the Doulas and each other. There are no rules. It’s art! Educational materials will be available for the community regarding how to help children move through grief and loss.
